Ascend - A Night of Music and Prayer. The perfect opportunity to invite your friends and family to join us as we pray and praise together.

Why do we call our prayer and musical worship nights “Ascend”?

There are 15 “Songs of Ascents” in the book of Psalms. The Holy Temple of God, once known as the place where the Spirit of the Lord dwelt, was found in Jerusalem. Jerusalem was set atop Mount Moriah, the place Abraham went to sacrifice Isaac. Many Jews made pilgrimage to Jerusalem to worship, and no matter which direction you came to Jerusalem from you were always ascending.

As ancient worshippers ascended to bring their offerings to the Lord, they would sing these songs as an encouragement during their travels.

We too Ascend, not physically, but spiritually; above the noise and the din of the every day as we bring our sacrifice of praise to the Lord.
