Ministry Team Duties

  • Baptism

The Baptism Team coordinates with Lead Pastor’s Executive Assistant regarding the logistics of water baptism as an element of the greater Gathering.

The time and manner of baptism will be determined by Lead and Music & Creative Pastor, and carried out by the Baptism Team.

    What you need to know:
    0 Baptisms in 1st Gathering
    3 Baptisms in 2nd Gathering
    7 Baptisms in 3rd Gathering

  • Connect

The Connect Team is to act as a bridge between the newcomer and the greater Gospel Community of Eastpoint Church.

All team members act as a stepping stone or neon sign, pointing people to the Connect Counter: Our hub of Connectedness. This is where the Newcomer’s journey to rootedness begins.

    What you need to know:
Please let guests and attendees know there are bathrooms open behind the stage, in the back hallway!

All newcomers and new believers should be directed to the Connect Counter!

  • Hospitality

You are sunshine (in a cup!) on a cloudy day. If America runs on Dunkin’, then Eastpoint runs on YOU.

    What you need to know:
Be sure to be attentive to the cleanliness of the hospitality table! While we won’t cry over spilled milk, we don’t want any on our tables or floors either.

Runners can be made available to you if you need anything at all. Please let Kayla know!

  • Parking

The Parking Team is both Connect and Safety Team member. The Parking Team is the first first impression that an attendee has of Eastpoint Church.

In addition to welcoming the attendee, the Parking attendant must be aware of their surrounding. They act as both greeter and guide, as they direct all attendees safely to a parking space and usher them indoors.

    What you need to know:
    - Front lot open for 8 AM Gathering
    - Back lot open for 9:15 AM Gathering
    - Both lots open for 10:45 AM Gathering
    - Volunteers park across the street at EMS

  • Safety

We are thankful for the freedoms we are allowed to worship safely in our town, but are not unawares to the many variables that surround us in life.

The role of the Safety Team is graciously welcome all attendees with both eyes open, ready to intervene should an occasion arise. They have the collective backs of all Eastpointers. Boogie men, beware.

    What you need to know:
When Gatherings dismiss, attendees will be exiting through the YMCA front lobby doors. They will also access their kids via the KM hallway behind the stage. We will need increased presence there.

  • Ushers

    Psalm 84:10
Better is one day in your courts, than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

You manage the house of the Lord and keep chaos from reigning supreme. Manage us well!

    What you need to know:
Please seat guests front to back.
The last 8 rows of each section will be taped off until needed.
Keep your eyes open for the “lost” look!
